Annabel’s Park life

Former British Number 1 tennis player turned commentator, Annabel Croft, swapped her racquet for a spade to plant a tree in Richmond Park on Valentine’s Day.
It followed an invitation made to the West Heath old girl to become a patron of the Friends of Richmond Park along with TV presenter Clare Balding, broadcaster David Attenborough, and British politician and life peer, Baroness Susan Kramer.
In an Instagram post, Annabel described the Park as ‘my favourite place in the world’ and said the tree she planted was for Mel, her late husband.
Roger Hillyer, Chairman of Friends of Richmond Park said: “We are thrilled that Annabel has agreed to become a patron of Friends of Richmond Park. Her love of the Park and desire to ensure it continues to provide an unspoilt sanctuary for wildlife and visitors will be invaluable. All of us in the Friends look forward to working with her.”
